Our collaborations
Our collaborations span inclusive recruitment, workplace advisory and programmes supporting women's careers. Each brings different people and perspectives together to help create fairer opportunities.
Since then, our work has evolved, but our belief remains the same: talent deserves to be recognised, opportunities should be accessible and every woman should have the chance to build a future on her own terms.

Our journey
We started in 2017, supporting women with refugee and migration backgrounds to find meaningful work in the Netherlands.
We saw that getting a job was only the beginning. Being valued, having a voice and room to grow mattered too.
Today, we work with women and organisations to make those opportunities possible. Our Foundation remains dedicated to women with refugee and migration backgrounds.
Our approach has evolved. Our purpose hasn't: because every woman matters.
She Matters today
She Matters B.V. and She Matters Foundation work in different ways towards the same goal: fairer opportunities for women.
We help women find opportunities and grow in their careers, and work with organisations to make hiring and workplaces fairer.

Five principles we put into practice every day.
We see people beyond labels and circumstances. Dignity, respect and listening come first.
We look beyond immediate challenges and make choices that open possibilities for tomorrow.
Potential already exists. We work to remove the barriers that prevent it from being recognised.
Compassion is a starting point, not a solution. We turn understanding into practical action.
Progress takes different perspectives, shared responsibility and people working together.
Our founder
Christina founded She Matters in 2017, bringing her background in international human rights law and social entrepreneurship to a clear belief: women deserve to be recognised for what they bring.

Let's connect
Looking to create fairer workplaces, explore a partnership or support our work? We’d love to hear from you.
She Matters began in 2017 with a belief that refugee and migrant women should have the chance to use their skills and build meaningful careers.
That belief still guides our work. Today, we help organisations improve hiring, retention and women's progression through advisory, workshops and speaking.
We bring together women's experiences and employers' perspectives to explore barriers and find practical ways forward.
Our aim is simple: workplaces where women can contribute, belong and grow.
She Matters Foundation is our nonprofit arm, with a focus on access to meaningful work for refugee and migrant women in the Netherlands.
Its work has included mentorship, skills development and community programmes, helping women build confidence, connections and opportunities.
To learn about current support and opportunities to get involved, explore our Foundation page or get in touch. We'd be happy to hear from you.
Christina founded She Matters in 2017 after seeing the barriers refugee and migrant women faced in finding meaningful work.
Her background in law, human rights and social entrepreneurship shapes her approach: listen to people's experiences, recognise their strengths and work together on practical change.
Today, she works with organisations through advisory, workshops and speaking, with particular expertise in refugee and migrant women and women in tech.
