How You’ll Lead and Innovate
Build Resilient Systems: Design, develop, and implement software solutions to improve the stability and scalability of critical products and services, ensuring readiness for the future.
- Automate for Efficiency: Create reusable automation patterns and instrumentation across products, eliminating the need for manual troubleshooting.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Take charge of proactive monitoring and observability strategies, lead outage responses, and continually refine incident-response processes to minimise downtime.
- Lead by Example: Be an escalation contact during on-call rotations, participate in troubleshooting complex distributed systems, and mentor junior engineers in operational best practices.
- Champion Best Practices: Advocate for engineering excellence across teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Unique Strengths
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient in public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of storage, databases, caching, networking, and distributed systems; able to debug, optimize, and automate operational tasks.
- Strong foundation in Linux or Windows, with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Familiar with monitoring technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
- Proficient in programming principles, with command of at least one language.
- Skilled in leading technical recoveries and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
