Financial Analyst

This role requires a solid understanding of US GAAP; knowledge of Dutch GAAP is beneficial but not essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial consulting and advisory, and be experienced in handling complex investment programs and advisory.    

YOUR TEAM

Lead a financial accounting team of 5 members, providing guidance, advice, and strategic direction to support departmental and organisational objectives.The team is recognised for its technical expertise and commitment to enhancing business practices and continuity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this diverse role you will be responsible for preparing, analysing and interpreting financial reports. You will advise stakeholders  to clarify the data and improve the performance of current and new business processes. You will have a leading role on behalf of Accounting in the upcoming ERP- and business transformation.

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, analyse, and interpret complex financial reports, focusing on statutory compliance and legal entity accounting. Preparing accurate financial reports, both for internal and external stakeholders in compliance with US-GAAP. Dutch GAAP is a plus. 
  • Leadership and Advisory: Lead financial accounting team and manage significant investment advisory projects. Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and providing expert advice.
  • Investment Programs & Advisory: Play a pivotal role in analysing financial forecasts, initiating investment programs and ensuring effective management and compliance with financial regulations. Making recommendations on investment proposals by analysing the financial forecasts. Also  assess investment proposals (financially and budget wise), monitoring their implementation and making proposals for enforcement.
  • Team Development: Supporting, advising and presenting, both solicited and unsolicited, to the management team in the analysis and the development of profitability, budget control, (financial) KPIs and forecast data.
  • ERP and Business Analysis: Lead on behalf of Accounting in ERP and business transformation projects, focusing on upgrading current systems to enhance business efficiency. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Business Economics or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in legal entity and statutory advisory.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in guiding an ERP transformation
  • Proven excellence in analytical and advisory skills and methods
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills
