Brand Manager

Our client, a family-run Dutch enterprise with a heritage stretching back 150 years, stands among the globe’s foremost candle makers, having honed their craft over generations. They have transformed into a global entity with substantial prospects for expansion and advancement. Currently, they are in search of a Brand Manager to become part of their team in Schijndel.

As a Brand Manager, you will play a pivotal role in further developing the brand, driving the brand/marketing strategy, and thereby achieving business objectives. Leading the brand strategy for the Home Ambiance category, the Brand Manager aims to strengthen the market position and the brand's presence in the minds of consumers in the Benelux region. You will be a leading role in all facets of consumer communication: from brand big idea development, to media strategy and execution of the consumer activation campaigns.

You will collaborate closely with the central marketing team and the CMO to develop and implement the brand strategy for the Benelux, with the potential to expand the brand's reach in multiple international markets. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager Benelux and having a dotted line to the Head of Brand Activation in the central marketing team, you will oversee one direct report: the Consumer Care & Brand Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • As a Brand Manager, you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team that enables the individual to enhance both the mental and physical availability of the brand in the Benelux region and beyond in an effective and profitable manner. 
  • You are responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of brand guidelines and communication.
  • Bringing the brand campaign to life across consumer touchpoints (online/offline) and measuring the return on investment and KPIs in collaboration with key agencies/partners.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring the annual activation program for the Benelux region in cooperation with Category Management and Sales.
  • Providing the internal organisation with insights and leading business case development for EPDs/NPDs in the Benelux region.
  • Driving the brand across digital channels, overseeing the brand's social media accounts, managing SEO/SEA, and staying updated with the latest technology, such as AI.
  • Initiating and leading (multi-disciplinary) project teams related to brand activities.
  • Leading interactions and cooperation with external parties, including advertising and media agencies.
  • Creating an environment for the Consumer Care & Brand Coordinator to excel.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree focusing on commercial/marketing.
  • You have at least 3-5 years of work experience in FMCG  and/or A-brand environment.
  • You master brand management & communication, consumer activation and consumer research.
  • You  have excellent presentation- and communication skills and have demonstrable experience with successfully coordinating projects.
  • You are multilingual in English and Dutch, with an international scope.
