Gulce Onganer

Gulce is an architectural designer with two years of experience, based in Rotterdam. She has completed her studies in the field of architecture at the University of Kent, UK, Politecnico di Milano, IT and finally the Eindhoven University of Technology, NL where she completed her graduation project in 2017.

Gulce has been an active member of many organisations such as Habitat for Humanity, Article 25, Curatorial Research Collective, and finally her own organisation she set up early 2018, Architectural Creative Community. Her work is focused to ensure that young professionals have the skills that were not taught at architecture school, but are vital in the demanding professional world. She continuously encourages architects to become what she calls ‘archipreneurs’ where design meets with business savvy attitude.

Gulce has previously worked at De Zwarte Hond and Kraaijvanger Architects in Rotterdam. She is currently a junior architect at Barcode Architects where she takes the role of designer and Revit modeler of large housing projects.

Taking her passion for design to interdisciplinary realms, Gulce also has clients for which she helps set up websites, brand & graphic identities as well as define a social media strategy. Gulce is at She Matters because she believes in the organisation and is willing to help it scale up.
