She Matters attends EASO’s 8th Consultative Forum Plenary Meeting in Brussels

We were excited to attend the European Asylum Support Office’s (EASO) 8th Consultative Forum Plenary Meeting in Brussels! Thank you to the organisers for providing a space to forge new collaborations and support asylum seekers. We were there to create new connections and see how we can help female asylum seekers.

A key highlight for us? An answer of Caritas Europa’s Policy & Advocacy Director, Shannon Pfohman, to a question from the audience: ‘The use of the term “crisis” unnecessarily maligns forced migration. Would you propose an alternative?’ ‘We usually call it “solidarity crisis,” ’ she said. Let’s take it from there!
