Advisory Board

Nava Hinrichs-Pasutto is Head of Executive Education and Capacity Building in Migration at the UNU-MERIT and the Maastricht University Graduate School of Governance. 

For over six years, Mrs Hinrichs-Pasutto was Managing Director of The Hague Process on Refugees and Migration Foundation (THP) in the Netherlands focused on migration policy and research development. 

Parallel to her time at THP, she was also CEO of M-Capital, a social enterprise and subsidiary of THP that aimed to provide sustainable solutions for the labour market integration of migrants. Ms Hinrichs has previously worked as a consultant on Diversity and Inclusion for various companies. 

Mrs Hinrichs-Pasutto is also a regular lecturer on International Migration Law and Refugee Law at Maastricht University and was previously lecturer at the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) on Human Rights Law and Politics. She has worked as a legal advisor for asylum seekers in Egypt who were seeking refugee status from the UNHCR. She also has experience working on rural education curriculum development in Columbia as well as in the UK. Mrs Hinrichs-Pasutto holds an MA in Human Rights Law, Development and Globalization (School of Oriental and African Studies, London) and a BA in European Studies (King’s College London).
